Later we created Surviving High School and Cause of Death, the first games with episodes, for EA. Both games hit the Top 25 and were inspirations for other companies. After leaving EA, our team regrouped in a small office and with the quacking of nearby ducklings we set out to create story-driven games with heart. As Pixelberry, we launched two hit games, High School Story and Hollywood U. Our team has now grown to over a dozen of the most experienced game writers in the industry. In our 10 years of creating story games together, we’ve seen heartbreak, marriages, great adventures, and even Pixelbabies. But even through diaper changes and late nights, we think we’ve created our best work to date. We hope you’ll fall in love with our newest characters, Chris, James, Kaitlyn, Dave, and Sam just as we have. Enjoy, - The Pixelberry Team

  • I Love This Game BUT....

The Diamonds... you have to do something about the diamonds. I get you have to do diamonds so your platform can get money but does there have to be two diamond choices in every chapter of every book. That’s too much so either make the diamond choices cheaper or have less diamond choices bc this has to change

    Lots of fun

Can there be an update to pay a small fee to not have diamonds or keys? The stories are good but that ruins a great story and makes it dull
  • Choices more like everything being decided

    By nikkirockz965
In most of these stories u don’t really get to choose, I just played a story where I didn’t get to choose who I like or my fiancée.
  • You don’t really have Choices

    By LindyChris
Unless you want to spend $50 per book. No way I can spend $2 every choice and earning one diamond per chapter is ridiculous. I won’t be playing this long even though it would be really fun if you didn’t have to spend a fortune to read one story.
  • You would have got a 5 but

This game without a doubt is amazing but the fact that you have to pay 2 dollars for the more interesting choices and actually have fun doing what you want to do is annoying and the fact that you can only play 2 chapters at a time and basically have to wait 3 hrs if you wanna play 2 more chapters some on suggested that you should make the whole game 1.99 as a whole instead of making you have to constantly spend money on diamonds and I understand that developers need money but this is also a good way to loose money and people that wanna play your game so I advise you to make some changes because I myself love the game but getting tired of all these gimmicks and it’s only been 2 days that I’ve had the game
  • Would be more fun if I was rich

The story is great so far, but I can’t do much with out always having at least 20 diamonds. So I’ve been stuck with 2 outfits the whole time and I’ve done one side mission, because I gave in and bought some diamonds. If the choices were less diamonds, it help the fun factor a lot. Also, there’s no other way to get diamonds, except by buying them with real money.
  • A game of guilt tripping

    By 🍐🍋🍊🍎🍇
I absolutely understand that the game deserves money for providing me entertainment and I’ll gladly give it. However, there are only so many times I can take “give us money or let this innocent person die” or “you should have given us money now this person no longer likes you”.

Some stories are good- but in order to play them to the fullest you have to keep dumping real money into getting special gems. It’s a waste
  • Diamonds Take Joy Out of Gameplay

    By NianiNasira
I was really excited to see Pixelberry had come up with a game like this. I have been a fan since EA’s “Surviving High School” ca. 2007 and got into Pixelberry’s HSS & Hollywood U as a result. Choices has incredible storylines like Episode without the awful graphics. The characters are for the most part compelling in every book I’ve tried so far. That said, all of the aforementioned games had some form of optional payment for premium currency to be used for extra storylines &/or special clothes, and I happily obliged whenever I could. But Choices TAKES IT TO AN ALL NEW LEVEL. The fact that the keys stop collecting after only gathering two (taking approx 4hrs) is annoying, but that’s manageable. I’m more disturbed by the fact that during gameplay, diamond purchases are shoved down your throat at every turn. I’d estimate there are options for purchasing some friendly/romantic gesture/outfits 3-6 times per episode for 12-30 diamonds each time. The store offers 60 diamonds for $4.99. Also when you don’t buy diamonds, characters within the game shame you like “oh you look really plain” or “oh I thought we were friends and you could help me.” It’s ridiculous. I agree with other reviews in that I would much rather have the option to watch extra ads and get diamonds/Keys than this current system.
